National Standards:
Correlation with Fluxx Español
| Student Behavior
Standard Text
Standard
| In Fluxx Español, students are presented cards containing everyday objects and concepts, labeled in Spanish (e.g., la leche, el sol, la luna...). Combining these cards in specific ways leads to victory: El Sol and La Luna together are needed for the Goal: Día y Noche.
Students engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions.
Communication 1.1 |
| In Fluxx Español, students must read and follow directions printed in Spanish on the cards.
Students understand and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics.
Communication 1.2 |
| With the use of a standard Fluxx deck along with a Fluxx Español deck, students can discuss the translation process and compare the two target languages in the narrow scope of a game.
Students demonstrate understanding of the nature of language through comparisons of the language studied and their own. |
Comparisons 4.1 |
| With Fluxx Español, students are using the target language in a fun and relaxing setting. It can be the first introduction to games which may or may not be available in English. |
Students show evidence of becoming lifelong learners by using the language for personal enjoyment and enrichment. |

State Standards

I need your help. What other standards does Fluxx Español meet? What are your state standards? Are there links that we can add to this page to make it more useful to teachers? What other information is needed? Please help me build the pages like this for all our games by sending your ideas to edu-support (-at) looneylabs.com. Thank you!
